At A glance, it's easy to see that these lights are able to outshine stock headlights with ease, but there's more to observe. Headights are made to provide the maximum amount of light where it's needed...the road. The problem is that when you leave the road you are also leaving the environment that your stock headlights were designed to illuminate. You will notice that the tops of the pine trees are illuminated as well as the ground directly in front of the vehicle. In this instance it's not too usefull, but if those trees were a steep incline you would be able to see the terrain ahead. Likewise with the bright illumination directly below the bumper that could be a steep drop. Your stock headlights would leave you totally blind as to what lies above or beneath you. Keep in mind that these lights are just over 1/2 the size of a 12oz beverage can, fully submersible, will stay on for 8 years straight, and tough as nails.

Please take note that Martin LED is currently the only producer of auxiliary LED lights that posts beamshots. All photos were taken with a 3.2 second shutter in RAW format and have not been altered.
